let's make it hot...

hey everyone! your trusted vino henchman, here. unlike a lot of wine "professionals" i choose not to believe that wine should be taken so seriously. hey man--it's a beverage. some ancient guys found some grapes, everyone else was eating them, they said "let's make booze out of it!"
done. my attempt here is to de-mystify wine.

i'm the wine director at les zygomates wine bar and bistro in beautiful downtown boston. we've been around for 13 years as the original wine bar in boston (our website is winebar.com for goodness sakes!) we have a full bar but we're known for our delicious bistro fare and unbelievable wine list. we carry over 60 wines by the glass and another 200 or so by the bottle. i pretty much taste wine and food all day. that's my job (along with plunging toilets, mopping up vomit, unclogging sinks and getting yelled at by the general public now and again.)

les zygomates holds wine tastings every tuesday and i will use this blog as a way of talking about great wines i've come across, cool events we do, interesting people i meet, and just in general--kooky and ridiculous anecdotes from this crazy industry i've been in for 14 years.
